Behind the Ropes
Major golf is back.
After a 382 day wait, major championship golf makes its return to Harding Park in San Francisco for the 2o20 PGA Championship. Come Sunday, someone will lift the Wanamaker Trophy as usual and have their name written into the history books for eternity - yet we’ll miss the distinct energy that the spectators bring.
To help fill the void left by an empty Harding Park, we put together this photo retrospective from our trip behind the ropes on the weekend at Bethpage Black in 2019, where we headed out early to seek out some of the finer details that give these courses and these championships their distinct character.
